Chick-fil-A is an American fast food restaurant chain headquartered in the city of College Park, Georgia, that operates more than 2,200 restaurants, primarily in the United States.

 

B&L was informed that Chick-fil-A encountered odor migration issues as it first started to add locations in the NYC area.  Specifically, as several of the restaurants were leasing ground floor space in much larger multi story buildings, the odors produced in the restaurants were migrating to adjacent tenant spaces.  In order to prevent a similar issue at its 250 West 55th Street location, B&L was contracted to test the envelope tightness of the "vanilla box" before the lease agreement was made final.

B&L performed a visual test, blower door test and several smoke tests at the location to confirm that the space was "tight" by published industry standards.  Subsequent to completion, B&L was contracted to perform the same tests at several other locations.
